Cyproheptadine is used to treat hay fever and skin
rashes and eye inflammation caused by allergies. It is
a type of drug called an antihistamine.

Alcohol
Drinking alcoholic beverages while taking cyproheptadine may enhance side effects common to
both, such as drowsiness and dizziness.1 Individuals taking cyproheptadine should
avoid drinking alcohol, especially if staying alert is necessary.
